User Verified Social Telematics seeks new hosting tech park
The Open Media Cluster has officialised yesterday via a formal letter to the Lazio Region and a widely-shared press release, the irrevocable termination of all negotiations for the localization of initiatives, facilities and labs within the Lazio Region, where our sister organization Open Media Park has been promoting a tech park project for the last 6 years.
From today, we are therefore able to pursue and enter in formal agreements with world-leading tech parks, and local governments, interested in supporting the creation of smaller research/innovation units and facilities centered on such fast-emerging sectors – following up on initial interest since last december in Milan, Sao Paulo and Trentino Region.
In fact, The President of the Lazio Region (Rome), Nicola Zingaretti, has formally outlined in a major May 23rd MOU, a new vision for the Polo Europeo dell’Industria dello Spettacolo e ella Comunicazione of Formello (Rome) to realize EU 2° media/ICT tech park with 75.000 sq.mts. of facilities on a stunning 20 hectares campus.
It has been clarified that such sub-sectors will NOT include leading-edge privacy and security and next gen open Web, as proposed by the main private proponents through the Open Media Cluster – with its 12 localising partners, and 15 research partners in the international groundbreaking User Verified Social Telematics project – but rather on net-native audiovisual content production, RAI Italian broadcaster and other emerging media sub-sectors.
